early start

: Ma was in her marrow patch in early morn half tidy state when Neighbour looked over the fence, said “don’t you ever go to work?”

: well said Ma “let me think, actually come to think of it, it’s none of your flaming business…and if you persist with impertinent questions I may just give you a dose of old fashioned justice…”

: and in one swift movement Ma snipped and snatched her runner beanstalk and waved it towards the inquisitive neighbour… “this will go nicely across your bare seat!”.. Neighbour replied “you wouldn’t dare your’e in no fit state to bluster!”

: Ma surprised her with the speed at which she moved (nightie lifting in the wind behind her) and hauled the neighbour over the garden fence

: When Neighbour’s bare bottom was nicely pink ma said “that’ll do” and with a nod and a wink then proclaimed “it’s time for a chat, please come and sit with me in my marrow patch…and soothe those impudent cheeks”

:and thus they had a heart to heart and a cheek to cheek in the prickly marrow patch putting the world (and their bares) to right…including Ma over neighbour’s lap to ease her morning itch for a pat..

: as they say all is well that ends well and especially in pink…with a hint of marrow green on bare cheek
