Gaston Smit

A fabulous artist, he reminds me Louis Malteste…

He was a, presumably French, spanking artist who used the pseudonym Georges Topfer, and seldom the signatures G.T.S. and the pseudonym James Barclay.

He created black and white and colorized (watercolour) spanking drawings from the late 1910s to the mid-1930s. He was one of the finest and most prolific novel illustrators of the period of early 20th century French spanking literature. The majority of his work is from the 1920s. Any further biographical details are unknown.

Gaston Smit mainly drew adult/adult spankings and seldom children.

Here are some samples…

Probably most famous for illustrating, in colour, ‘The History of Flagellation’

Here are a couple of them…

He had many aliases and illustrated for many authors.

I love these he did for…

Here are more examples of his fine work…

There are lots more to find if you go searching, enjoy the chase!
