Mrs Walters felt delightfully relaxed as she continued to try out various punishment positions on her new high, straight backed, punishment seat. In the distance she could hear the caretaker in the garden, above her in the classroom was the cheerful chatter of the workmen as they varnished floors and treated desks with linseed oil.
Little things like the position of the feet, or where the back of the seat dug in, were all mentally noted, and in her study, later, she would make notes and diagrams, for a disciplinary manual she was hoping to have published..
She liked this position very much. She tried to emulate the movement of escape after a whack with the birch or cane. The sharp edge on the back of the seat really dug pain fully in to her midriff, which automatically made her jump back. This would be the time to whack again. If she kicked, the top of her feet struck the edge of the desk. This would stop unnecessary kicking and wriggling.
She experimented with replacing the vaulting horse with a piano stool, which presented the bottom higher for straight downward cuts of a long cane.
She found that moving the teacher’s desk trapped the feet.
She went on to trying more positions.
