Revealing Spanking Skirts and Dresses

I have never tried wearing one of these skirts. The majority seem to be made from latex and leave nothing to the imagination, but they do show off your ‘best asset’ rather well! However, I suspect  that they are the sort of skirts one might wear at a BDSM club party. They are probably not  very suitable to wear at home unless you crank up your central heating, although you could of course soon get warmed up with a brisk spanking….”It’s getting rather cold in here, my love. Would you mind turning off the TV, take me over your knee and warm my bottom?!”

Yes, in a small way I deal with antiques and I purchased this for a few hundred, it was advertised as being from Millbank Women’s Prison, 1884. They were used as flogging benches and without doubt many a woman/girl has gone over it for the birch, cane, strap etc. The prison was in an area called Pimlico, just opposite the Houses of Parliament, the other side of the Thames. They are often adevertised as Victorian Doctor’s Examination Couches, the examinations on it in prison send a shudder down my spine, a lot were in Lunatic Asylums too. The bottom left picture shows the prison flogging position.

It has been residing in my old studio as I move to my new, bit by bit, sadly they have found someone sleeping there and he has not been kind with my stuff….::sigh::

Such skirts remind me of the ‘punishment gowns’ often referred to in Victorian spanking erotica. These were very similar to modern-day hospital gowns – open at the back with ties. This is so the ‘victim’s’ bottom could be quickly bared once strapped over a punishment horse without the hassle of lifting cumbersome petticoats/skirts and opening or pulling down drawers. The rather elaborate example of such a special gown is shown below from a Hans Braun sketch – a workhouse punishment dress:
